I’m Sonyville, an Indonesia-based communications consultant working with international social development organizations.

I support organizations in planning, producing, and maintaining clear, consistent communication over time. My role is to help teams document their work, shape their narratives, and communicate impact in ways that are accurate, credible, and easy to understand.

I specialize in visual communication — photography and video — covering project documentation, progress reporting, success stories, and campaign materials. The goal is to ensure visual content aligns with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Not just filming — but ensuring what happened in the field is accurately understood by people who fund, manage, and scale the program.

Through long-term collaboration, I aim to make communication more reliable, effective, and valuable in supporting meaningful social change.

First of all

In photography, my focus is on capturing people, context, and the stories behind them. A single image can communicate complex realities and preserve moments that would otherwise be lost. I see photography not only as visual expression, but as documentation — a way to make experiences understandable across cultures and distances.

Whether candid or structured, each photograph serves as visual evidence, helping audiences grasp situations they were not present to witness and supporting clearer, more human-centered communication.

Not to mention

As a videographer, I support international organizations in communicating their work clearly and responsibly. My role goes beyond filming — it includes planning documentation approaches, directing interviews, verifying stories, and producing visuals that align with reporting and donor communication needs.

Video is used not only to inform, but to provide context and credibility. By structuring narratives carefully and grounding them in real field conditions, the final output helps stakeholders understand what was implemented, why it matters, and how it contributes to program goals.

The objective is to ensure visual materials function as reliable communication tools that organizations can confidently use for reporting, learning, and public engagement.
